These cases with the Vice president started when she supposedly threatened the security of President Marcos, First Lady Lisa Marcos, and Speaker Martin Romualdez—which the NBI didn’t take lightly. Director Santiago expressed his opinion about this issue, stating “Remember no one is above the law. Kung sinong nagba-violate ng law, kahit sino ka pa man, ay pananagutin ka namin.”
